Prague public transport can be used with all types of public transportation. Tickets can be bought from yellow ticket vending machines that are installed at all metro stations and in some bus and tram stops. Tickets can be also bought at some newspaper stands and from metro employees at some metro stations.
The are two kinds of single tickets for one journey: Transfer tickets allow unlimited transfers on all types of public transport - between lines (from one metro line to another, or from bus to bus, etc.) and types of transport (from metro to tram, from tram to bus, etc.). Transfer tickets are valid for three zones (that cover the area of Prague) and can be used for 75 minutes from 5am to 8pm on weekdays. And for 90 minutes 8pm to 5am on weekdays and round the clock on Saturdays and Sundays.

Children from 6 up to 15 years inclusive * 10 CZK
Non-Transfer Tickets
could be used in trams and buses for 20 minutes after validating. These tickets allow no change. Tickets can be also used in metro, but are valid only for five metro stations from the station of validation (not including the station of validation) allowing to change between the lines A,B,C. You have maximum of 30 minutes in the metro.Price of non-transfer ticket:

IMPORTANT: Do not forget to validate your ticket immediately after you get on the bus or tram or if you enter the metro station lobby IN THE LITTLE YELLOW MACHINE. Ticket with printed date and time is not valid and the ticket inspector will consider you as free-rider.

Charge payable for carriage of various items
Charge payable for carriage of various items is paid by a transfer ticket for 10 CZK. Validity of such ticket is identical to that of the ticket used by a passenger carrying the luggage (but no longer than 240 minutes). This charge is payable for carriage of items larger than 25 x 45 x 70cm (a bar over 150cm, a board over 100 x 100 x 5cm) and an empty pram.
Season tickets (passes) are either short-term (less than one month) or long-term. If you wish to buy a long-term ticket, you have to supply your ID cart (or passport) and your photograph.

3-day ticket (72 hours) 220,- CZK
7-day ticket (168 hours) 280,- CZK
15-day ticket (360 hours) 320,- CZK
