10 To 14 May Antique Fair In Prague Gallery Manes

In two halls of Prague Gallery Manes, near "the Dancing House" and Zofin island on Vltava river, forty-nine exhibitors will spent the weekend to offer their antiques at the 19th Antique Trade Fair, which opened to the public on Thursday 10 May 2007 and closed on Monday 14 May 2007. The event is organised by the Czech Association of Antique Dealers.

Mostly the artefact from the second half of the 19th century can be available for antique-lovers to purchase. And also the jewels of world moderna art, for example the pictures by Pablo Picasso or Czech writer and artist Josef Capek (Karel Capek's brother). Their works will be displayed before the auction.

The event is organized twice a year - last trade fair in November 2006 saw more than 10 thousand visitors. The organizers say, the percentage of young people under 35 years of age is quickly increasing. The accommpanying programme also counts with Rudolph's Academy that brings the lectures on various themes including conservation techniques or new Czech and European legislature in the area.
