15 Feb 2007 Hip Hop Old School Legend From New York Will Perform In Prague

The Harlem rapper and hip hop star Kurtis Blow (real name Curtis Walker) with his son will perform his show at Prague's Lucerna Music Bar on Thursday 15 February 2007.

Forty seven years old Kurtis Blow made his breakthru debut with probably still the best known hit The Breaks in 1980. In the same years, he opened for reggae legend Bob Marley, who is considered as godfather of hip hop, at the Madison Square Garden before 20 thousand fans.

American musician Bob Dylan appeared on 1986 album, Kingdom Blow. Kurtis Blow also became the first hip hop musician embraced by the mainstream advertising industry. But he still belongs to the old hip hop school.

Now, he a born-again Christian. Recently, he said that the real purpose in life is to serve God, and he uses his songs to bring young people back to the church.
