Irish bars inside!
All around the world the Irish St. Patrick's Day is celebrated. And quite strong Irish community in Prague and Czech Republic recommends this holiday from the Green Island, how Ireland is sometimes called.
With the weekend programme the 10th Irish music festival culminates in Prague, on Saturday 17 March – which is the St. Patrick's Day – and Sunday 18 March. Everyone who wants to be Irish on the weekend could join in the fun in the central streets of Prague, for example on the Old Town Square.

The Irish just leave their bars to celebrate in the open air. But if you prefer the shelter of an Irish bar (smoking allowed, difference from the real Ireland) you can visit Caffrey’s Irish Bar (Old Town Sqaure 10, Prague), where you can listen to real Irish groups such as Celtic Whisper from Limerick with their ballads (starts on Saturday at 12pm) or Jodavino from Cork (starts on Saturday at 6pm). Modern Irish rock band North Star plays in Legends Sport Bar (Tyn 1, Prague, just some steps from the Old Town Square) on Saturday from 9.30pm and the other day in Caffrey’s Irish Bar from 8pm.
Two days of traditional Irish music and dance, gastronomical shows and lots of pints of Irish ale culminate with 6th Czech Republic Oyster Opening Championship on the Old Town Square on Sunday at 2pm.
Happy St. Patrick's Day
