21 May 2007 Jazz Legend Fred Wesley Has A Decent Concert In Prague

The aghARTa Prague Jazz Festival, that promotes several world famous jazz stars during the year, continues with American jazz and funk trombonist and vocalist Fred Wesley and his JB's. He plays in Prague's Lucerna Music Bar on Monday 21 May.

Fred Wesley is best known for his work with James Brown in the 1960s and 1970s. He was born in Mobile, Alabama as the son of a high school teacher and big band leader in 1943.

Wesley comes back to Prague after several years with following member of his group: Ernie Fields Jr – tenor saxophone, Gary Winters – trumpet, Reggie Ward – guitar, Barnie Mcall – keyboards, Dwayne Dolphin – bass, Bruce Cox – drums

Fred Wesley also participated on the album of Czech funky formation Monkey Business.
