Two tomorrow's première operas by Francis Poulenc La Voix humaine & Les Mammeles de Tirésias in Prague State Opera have shining star cast.

The two pieces prepared in co-production with the Macerata Opera Festival in Italy will be directed by famous Italian opera director Pier Luigi Pizzi, who is world know by the renaissance of Baroque opera. In 2004, Pizzi inaugurated the newly opened La Scala in Milano with Salieri's Europa riconosciuta.

Mezzo-soprano Kinga Dobay (on the photo) has the role of a woman in La Voix humaine - the lyric tragedy in one act - who tries for the last time to contact her ex-lover by a phone.

Born in Romania, Kinga Dobay, arrives to Prague for the first time. She studied violin, but in the 90s she decide to dedicated to singing. In 2002, she was "discovered" by conductor Yakov Kreizberg and offered the role of Carmen in his project Jeunesses Musicales. Dobay in performing in several German opera houses, including Berlin or Dresden.

The second piece, Les Mammeles de Tirésias, is a parody to the text of Guillaume Apollinaire about a feminist who is tired of being just a housewife and morph into a male.

Performed in French with Czech captions. While opening night is on 22 February, you will have chance to see further two times this month, on 25th and 28th. It starts at 7pm all days.
