24 Mar And 5 And 6 Apr 2007 Vocal Band Vagantes In Prague Churches

As the culmination of Christian year – Easter – approaches, the Prague vocal band Vagantes, that interprets works by Renaissance and Barroque composers, prepares a series of concerts in Prague churches.

First concert - Miserere from Psalms - takes place in the church of St. Martin ve zdi on 24 March 2007 at 7.19pm. These are works of 2 masters, first by late Renaissance composer G. Allegri is known for its high soprano voice. The other, by Franticek Ignac Tuma, is known for heterogeneousness of music motives.

The other concerts takes place in the Saint week: Ave Verum is shceduled for the Green Thursday 5 March 2007 at 6pm in church of Saint Nicholas in the Lesser Quarter.

The day after, on Great Friday 6 March 2007 at 7pm, Vagantes have similar programme Miserere, but with Stabat mater by G. P. Palestrina in the church of St. Simon and Juda.
