Just 250 years ago, near today's Prague quarters, Sterboholy and Malesice (eastern part of Prague), one of the largest battles of the Seven Years' War 1756–1763. On the 6 May 1757, Frederick II. the Great's 65,000 Prussians forced 62,000 Austrians to retreat, but having lost 14,300 men to the Austrian 13,400, Frederick decided he was not strong enough to attack Prague.

The battleground was heavily blooded. In the battle, Prussian general Kurt Schwerin, the favourite of Fredirick, died.

To commemorate the 250 years anniversary and also see the show of the battle, you can this Sunday, 29 April in the historical battleground near Prague Sterboholy. The historical troops will starts at 10am at the street U Skoly in Prague Steroboholy, half hour later the troops will march through the quarter and around they will be at U radiály street, where the monument of the battle will be dedicated.

At the place, historical show will be started with "soldiers" in historical costumes.
