Non-governmental organizations represent key factor in the development of a strong civic society and play a vital role in transformation processes in Central and Eastern Europe.

The Forum 2000, that organizes various events in relation with civic sector, now stages its 8th annual NGO Market (Veletrh neziskových organizací) at Tyršův dům in Prague on 4 April 2007.

It is a unique one-day event, which has been growing in size – it is expected that this year around 100 nongovernmental organizations, both Czech and international, involve in the event.

The programme offers series of lectures and presentations. Particular NGO also present their aims in their own stalls. This year's event is particularly devoted to the topic of youth active citizenship in Central and Eastern Europe.

Participation for both the public and NGOs is free of charge.
