6 April 2007, 18:31 - Art
The gallery train offers two expositions on Prague Main Train Station. The travellers (and not only travellers) can look forward to exposits from German director and photographer Wim Wenders and his wife, Donata Wenders. The train-gallery is organized by Prague's gallery Leica.

Gallery train stops on Prague Main Train Station from yesterday until 22 April and then it moves to further 16 Czech towns, including Hradec Králové, Brno or Karlovy Vary (you can check all stops in the web-page below, only in Czech).

The two exhibitions are The Million Dollar Hotel a Buena Vista Social Club. The Million Dollar Hotel is a film by Wenders, with a screenplay by U2 singer Bono Vox about old and almost abandoned hotel in which during the 20s Charlie Chaplin had his office, but now serves as a shelter for people with insanity. The coloured photos by Wim Wenders are accompanied by lyrics by Bono Vox and black-and-white photographs by Donata Wenders.

The second part of the exhibition display best photos by Donata and Wim Wenders that was shot during taking the film Buena Vista Social Club. It show the spirit and colour of Cuba. The photos are accompanied by novels and lyrics from the film soundtrack.

In all of three wagons, the photos are accompanied by the music from the respective film. The gallery train got on the tracks on the third year. The idea originates from the fact that Gallery Leica did not get agreement with Prague Castle where it was seated from 2002 to 2004.

The organizer plans to go on tracks next year for the last time. But they still do not know what will be displayed.
