Outgoing Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek and his Civic Democrats are tryinmg to agree on dissolving the Chamber of Deputies, which should be followed by preliminary elections in 2007.
Topolanek has been pushing for early elections to end the stalemate in the lower house even earlier. Now some other parties seem to support the this kind of solution. The law cautting the mandate of the Chamber of Deputies must be approved by three fifth of votes in both chambers, which can be hard to reach.
