Czech parliament starts a session on which a confidence vote to Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek's minority cabinet should be given. No time has been set for the vote. Debate could take hours, or days.
Czech politics is in deadlock since June parliamentary election while both left and centre-right parties control 100 seats each. The two sides failed to reach a deal on support for the rightist government, which was appointed last month. Social Democrats and far left Communists have said none of their deputies will vote to allow Topolanek's government to survive.
Some of the Christian Democrats who pertain to the center-right camp will no attend the voting saying there is no reason to prolong this situation. Three unsuccessful attemps to make a government pave the way to preliminary election.
