Czech Ice Hockey Extraliga Has Its Winner

Top Czech ice hockey league – Extraliga – got a winner today. Prague club Sparta Praha has beaten Moeller Pardubice and gained the title in the second consecutive year.

The final series seemed to be clear enough for Sparta in the beginning as the team won first three matches. To win the whole series, the team needs to win 4 times. But in the fourth match, after 3 clear wins, Sparta lost in its home T-Mobile Arena in Prague. Pardubice won also the other match and make the whole series on 3 : 2. But, again in T-Mobile Arena, today, Sparta made fourth clear win and git the title.

Czech hockey-players now have short time to rest, but at the end of April, they move to Russia, where they will represent Czech Rep. on the World Ice Hockey Championship.
