28 October 2006, 23:04 - History
28 October is Czech national holiday. The celebration relates the establishment of Czechoslovakia who gained independency on Austro-Hungarian Empire just at the end of WW1, in 1918.

Although Czechoslovakia ceased to exist in 1993, 28 October is still one of the important days in the country history. However, many people "forgot" to celebrate the day. President Vaclav Klaus decorated 22 personalities on the occasion of the national holiday.
