Prague Easter markets on both largest squares are opened until Sunday 15 April 2007. You can enjoy Easter atmosphere on the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. Easter markets are opened all day long, together with accompanying programme on the special stage before the Tyn Church on the Old Town Square.

The programme consist of musical show of various Czech groups including children choirs and ensembles. Your kids can also participate in creative works in the special stall, or try their fortune in the competition of twisting the birches.

You can also, for example, taste Staroceske Trdlo (Old Czech Trdlo), sweet cake. The Easter menu however offers more specialities. If you are not hungry, you can buy traditional Czech Easter gifts, such as painted egg. On the Old Town Square, there is also one stall where a women could paint your name onto the egg to have some special memory for the visit of Prague in the Easter times.

Old Town Square is also place, where you can see the statue of Czech reformist in the 15th century, Jan Huss. The statue has been unveiled on the Square on just 500 years after he was condemned by the Council of Constance, and burned at the stake, in 1915.
