German Photographer Feldmann On His First Exhibition

3 February 2007, 20:47 - Art
German photographer Hans-Peter Feldman (born in Düsseldorf in 1941) has his first solo exhibition in the Czech Republic. He will present his photographic works from the late 1960s to 2006 in Galery Langhans.

Hans-Peter Feldmann is a rare example of an artist who achieved an important position both in Germany and internationally. His work presents one of the example of conceptual photography of 1970s, that is still strongly speaking to contemporary young generations of art-photographers.

The exhibition includes examples of his book projects, in which he has assembled photographic materials (such as postcards, posters, newspaper cuttings, and photo series) from archives, and investigates the nature of reality or the relationship between text and image and the crossing over of print mass media and the world of serious art. The auuthor speaks about the conception of photography as a projection of desire.
