Miss Czech Republic Tatana Kucharova took the Miss World crown in Poland's capital Warsaw on Saturday. It is the first Czech to win such event. Blue-eyed blonde won in the tough competition among several brunettes.
Warsaw is the first city in ex-communist East Europe to host the pageant.
Tatana Kucharova, wearing a tight-fitting white gown, fought back tears as the Miss World sash was draped over her shoulder and a glittering crown placed on her head. She comes from the city of Opocno, eastern Czech.
