Mozart says goodbye to Prague

The exhibition showing the relation of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to Prague, then capital of the Bohemian lands and its inhabitants was just opened at Clam-Gallas Palace in the Prague Old Town.

The exhibition Mozart’s Prague concludes whole year 2006, which was dedicated to the 250th Mozart anniversary celebrations. The exhibition takes place in Clam-Gallas Palace, closely related to the stay of the highly influential composer of variety of classical music masterpieces in Prague.

Visitors cold see exhibits within the context of cultural, especially musical and theatrical life of that time, it will introduce its main representatives and events, such as the coronation of Leopold II, Austrian Emperor. The exhibition closes on the day of Mozart´s birthday - on 27 January 2007.

The whole project Mozart Prague 2006 that included concerts, exhibition and other cultural events was prepared to commemorate the anniversary of W. A. Mozart birth. It is said that the composer loved the city, as once he said "My orchestra is in Prague".
