One hundred and eighty years old model of Prague city centre made by Antonin Langweil will be the main exhibit in the new Prague museum, Czech daily Mlada fronta Dnes informed on Saturday.

The model is now part of the collections of The Museum of the Capital of Prague and it is permanently shown in its building on Prague's Florenc (Na Poříčí 52, Prague 8, metro B, C, stop Florenc). (Until 30 March 2007 the model is cleaned and all of its parts are digitalized, so the visitors could not see them for this while.)

But in the future, the Langweil's model (on the picture) should be moved to the newly built museum of Prague models, that will display models from various historical eras.

Museum of Prague's model will not be only one that is planned. The most visited Prague's monument - Charles bridge - should receive its own museum as a gift to its 650 anniversary this year. The museum will presents the history of the bridge built by Emperor Charles IV to connect two Prague parts - Old Town with Lesser Quarter.

The lovers of technology on tracks can look forward to a Railway's Museum, that should find shelter in the depot on Prague's Masarykovo nádarží (train station).

And the lovers of the famous Czech painter and decorative artist Alfons Mucha will find his large format pictures depicting Slavic history (Mucha's epopee) in the newly built museum on Prague Exhibition ground.
