Painter of Baroque Piety

Almost 30 paintings, several university thesis prints, and 25 drawings by J. J. Heinsch (1647–1712) - painter working in Prague from 1679 - are displayed in Imperial Stables of Prague Castle.

Heinsch is mostly described as Painter of Baroque Piety, and the selection of his best works will be on display at the exhibition.

Visitors have the opportunity to become acquainted with the work of a little known artist who was an important representative of the realistic trend in Bohemian Baroque art. The exhibition is open until 28 January 2007.

The exhibition is held under the auspices of the President of the Czech Republic Václav Klaus.
