Return of Theseus painting gives name to the exhibition of Czech-born artist Josef Šíma. The painting was bought 70 years ago by the City Gallery of Prague and is one of the most significant works of Czech modern art that reflects the ancient world (Greece mythology)

The exhibition in the Golden Ring House in the Old Town is held until 7 January 2007. It also presents the Potential, another painting by Šíma recently bought from a private collection.

Some of the works were borrowed from Czech and foreign private and state collections, including six significant French art institutions, such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

Czech painter Josef Šíma (1891-1971) lived in Paris from 20s, but he kept warm contacts with Czechoslovakia between the world wars.
